ACTRIMS welcomes and values media participation at MSWashingtonDC2020 and offers complimentary registration to those who qualify for press badges. Registration includes access to all Scientific Sessions, access to the Industry Exhibition and Satellite Symposia/Non-CME Presentations, conference materials including mobile app, and coffee and lunch breaks. Additionally, members of the media will have access to the press room, press conferences, and press kit and materials.
Press and media representatives may register in advance by completing the online application form below and providing the appropriate credentials. Members of the media who have NOT registered in advance of MSWashingtonDC2020 must bring the required credentials onsite for consideration.
Press badges are available only to working journalists who must show the appropriate credentials. Any reporter, writer, producer, editor, photographer or blogger with credentials from a print, online or broadcast news organization, including freelance journalists, will be considered.
Bloggers seeking press badges must work for a media outlet, publication, or independent website or blog post that has original coverage and must demonstrate they have been writing regular posts at least 4 months prior to the conference. Bloggers should send a link of their website(s), samples of their blogs, or a letter from their editor for review.
Companies or organizations producing publications, videos and other products intended for marketing, advertising, financial analysis or public relations purposes may not register for press badges. This includes any organization that intends to sell or distribute content for profit and/or continuing medical education (CME) opportunities.

The Press Room will be equipped with Wi-Fi and power for laptop computers. Press releases, abstracts and other relevant information will be available. Please note that ACTRIMS is not responsible for personal property left unattended in the Press Room.

A limited number of rooms for press interviews are available and may be reserved onsite in the Press Room. For advance coordination, please send requests for interviews and/or second sources to Lynn Blenkhorn at email@example.com. Media must receive approval from an abstract author/presenter prior to quoting or publishing their scientific results.

The following embargo policies are strictly enforced by MSWashingtonDC2020. Failure by media organizations to abide by the embargoes will result in suspension of media credentials, which will affect access privileges to current and future abstracts presented at ACTRIMS programs.

Abstracts and featured research accepted for presentation at MSWashingtonDC2020 are embargoed until published on the MSWashingtonDC2020 online program and mobile app. Full text of Regular Abstracts will be published on Friday, August 28, 2020. Full text of Late Breaking Abstracts will be published on the first day of the meeting (Saturday, September 9, 2020).
PRESS RELEASE POLICY
Press releases related to Regular Abstracts that contain presentation data are strictly prohibited until the abstract is available on the MSWashingtonDC2020 online program and mobile app on Friday, August 28, 2020.
Press releases related to Late Breaking Abstracts that contain presentation data are strictly prohibited until the first day of the meeting (Saturday, September 9, 2020).
Investigators or study sponsors who wish to issue press releases that contain no actual presentation data but provide “top line” information in advance of the embargo date will need the approval of the Scientific Program Committee, who may require changes before permitting release. ACTRIMS does not review all outside press releases but will hold those representatives responsible for any misrepresentation.
Press releases that feature data or news related to MSWashingtonDC2020 should include the full name of the meeting: MSWashingtonDC2020: 8th Joint ACTRIMS-ECTRIMS Meeting.
SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
Distributing news and information about MSWashingtonDC2020 through social media is encouraged within the embargo restrictions. Please use the official congress hashtag in all social media posts: #MSDC2020
